BOB is a Layer-2 protocol that allows developers to create dApps on Bitcoin.

BOB combines the security of Bitcoin with the programmability of Ethereum.


At BOB, I led the design of the entire product portfolio. Additionally, I designed the BOB Fusion airdrop campaign, a initiative aimed at enhancing on-chain liquidity and attracting developers.

The design process was guided by a User-Centered Design approach, incorporating continuous user feedback and testing to ensure every decision aligned with the community's needs.

The Challenge

BOB was a brand-new chain with no prior design or UX. The challenge was to establish a brand identity from the ground up and create a comprehensive UX from scratch. A new design system was developed in Figma, which became the foundation for all front-end design work, social media, and marketing assets.

An airdrop campaign was launched to attract on-chain liquidity and help build out the ecosystem. Since BOB connects to both BTC and EVM chains, a dual wallet experience was necessary to fully leverage the functionality of the dApp.

The Process

The design process for BOB followed a user-centered approach, ensuring most large design decisions was informed by the needs and goals of the users. We started with research, including competitor analysis, user interviews, and creating personas to understand the target audience and their pain points. Next, I mapped out user journeys to identify opportunities and reduce friction across touchpoints.


Wireframes and prototypes were created and iteratively tested with real users, incorporating their feedback at each stage. Collaboration with developers and stakeholders was ongoing to ensure the final implementation aligned with the project vision and technical feasibility. By maintaining a continuous feedback loop, the design evolved into a robust and scalable system that met both user and the chain needs.

The outcome

The outcome was a cohesive and scalable design system that served as the foundation for BOB’s brand and user experience. The Figma-based system streamlined the design and development process, enabling consistent front-end implementation across the dApp, social media, and marketing assets.

The dual wallet experience provided seamless interaction with both BTC and EVM chains, empowering users to maximize the platform’s functionality.


The airdrop campaign successfully attracted significant on-chain liquidity and kickstarted the ecosystem's growth.
